Aerospace Innovation

The Aerospace Technology Institute (ATI) was launched in 2013 to guide Government and industry on future aerospace research and technology aims of the Aerospace Growth Partnership (AGP).

The ATI’s strategic goals are to ensure that the UK is:

  • A market leader in civil turbofan engines enabling a competitive supply chain of sub-systems.
  • Globally competitive in systems such as power, communications and landing gear.
  • A centre of helicopter design, integration and manufacture, and that the UK is positioned to lead the introduction of new architectures in civil aircraft.

The UK is home to an extensive network of world-class universities which are providing our aerospace industry with a talented workforce, equipped with the skills to meet the rapid advancements in technology.
